what is a 302 redirect? | Grizzly | SEO Guide

302 Redirects

This is a common code for a URL redirection. The server invites the web browser to take an alternative route to the page which in theory is only temporary. Its transience is also the reason why in terms of SEO, a 302 is less than ideal as the search engine metrics are not counted when redirecting to the new page. If you want the SEO data to transfer over, using a 301 redirect is the correct choice.
