Most of our website projects fall between £5,000 and £20,000, depending on the number of pages, how much of the content and photography we produce, and whether there’s ecommerce or a system integration involved.
A simple brochure site for a small business sits at the lower end. A larger site with custom functionality, multiple templates and a content strategy sits at the upper end. We quote a fixed price before the work begins, with staged payments, so there are no surprises partway through.
If you have a budget in mind, tell us and we’ll be honest about what’s achievable within it.
A typical Grizzly website takes eight to twelve weeks from kickoff to launch.
Roughly two weeks for discovery and planning, three to four for design, three to four for build, and a final two for content population, testing and launch. Larger projects with custom functionality or a lot of content take longer.
The single biggest variable is content. Projects that run over usually do so because copy and images are still being gathered, which is why we agree a content deadline at the start rather than at the end.
Two things: we build websites to be found by AI search as well as Google, and we run our own agency on AI systems we built ourselves.
Most agencies are still optimising only for traditional search results. A growing share of people now ask ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews or Perplexity instead, and being visible there requires different work: clear entity signals, structured data, and content written in a form an AI can lift and cite. We build that in as standard.
Behind the scenes, we run a set of AI agents that handle research, auditing, drafting and reporting. It means a small senior team can work at the pace of a much larger one, and that the person who scopes your project is the person who delivers it.

AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimisation. It’s the work of making your website visible in AI-generated answers, the ones produced by ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude, rather than only in traditional search results.
You need it if a meaningful share of your customers research before they buy, because that research is increasingly happening in a chat window rather than on a results page. The practical difference is that AI engines don’t rank pages, they cite sources, so the work is about being unambiguous, well-structured and quotable rather than about competing for a position.

Usually, yes. We build most sites on WordPress because it gives you full ownership of your website and content, an editor your team can actually use, and no ongoing platform fees or lock-in.
If your project genuinely suits something else, we’ll say so. We also take on ecommerce work using WooCommerce, and we migrate existing sites onto WordPress from other platforms.
You own it outright, and we stay involved as much or as little as you want.
Most clients take our hosting and support package, which covers secure UK hosting, WordPress and plugin updates, backups, monitoring, and a set amount of change requests each month. Others move onto an SEO or AEO retainer, where we keep working on visibility and content after launch.
Some clients take neither and manage the site themselves. That’s fine too, and we’ll hand over everything you need.
Often, yes. If the underlying build is sound, improving what you have is usually cheaper and faster than starting again.
We’ll audit the site first and tell you which it should be. A rebuild makes sense when the site is slow at a structural level, when the design is holding back conversions, or when the CMS is so awkward that nobody updates it. Otherwise we’d rather improve what’s there.
